About Cristy Barnes

Cristy Barnes brings decades of real estate experience and leadership to her clients, with a career spanning more than 35 years in the industry. Licensed in real estate since 1983 and a Broker Salesperson since 1989, Cristy joined Janet McAfee Real Estate in 2025 and has built her reputation on professionalism, strong communication, and lasting client relationships.

A lifelong St. Louis resident who was born and raised in the area, Cristy offers extensive knowledge of the St. Louis market, particularly the Central Corridor communities. Having also lived abroad, she understands the challenges and emotions that often accompany relocation and has a unique sensitivity to the needs of relocating families.

Cristy’s strengths include contract expertise, relationship management, and successfully navigating negotiations and closing challenges. Her extensive experience as a Broker Manager has given her the ability to guide clients through every stage of the buying and selling process with confidence and care.

Beyond real estate, Cristy is dedicated to serving the community. She is a board member of the Urban League of St. Louis and serves on the board of the Swim ON Foundation, an organization focused on drowning awareness and safety initiatives, including CPR training and education. She is also a past board member of Grace Hill Settlement House.

In her free time, Cristy enjoys baking, reading, needlework, and learning Mahjong. Her warmth, experience, and commitment to helping others make her a trusted advisor and advocate for her clients.
