About Marianne Galt

To say that Marianne Galt loves selling real estate is a bit of a misstatement. Marianne states, "It's not about 'selling houses', it is about relating to people and putting pieces of the puzzle together." She has spent nearly her entire career with Janet McAfee, Inc. Marianne started selling real estate in 1974 when she was pregnant with her first child.

Marianne went on to become a top producer and a Life Member of the Million Dollar Club. After a few years of living in New York, Marianne returned to St. Louis and involved herself again in the business. "I guess real estate is just in my blood," she says. For more than 30 years, except for her New York hiatus, Marianne has been fully involved and now operates exclusively on referrals.

Partnering with other agents and working with buyers and sellers is what makes real estate such a rewarding career. It is great helping people during what is often a very emotional time in their lives. Our job is to be professionals first, then to be facilitators, consultants, and sometimes confidants. Our real value as agents is in the experience, confidentiality, and objectivity we bring to the table.

St. Louis is home to Marianne. In addition to her work and family, she loves learning golf, bridge, and any outside activities. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Louis Art Museum and an honorary member of the Board of the Woman's Exchange.
